Knifes

These really help in shaping my molds and wanted to share them. They are made out of 6 and 8 penny nails that I forged the basic shape and hardened by putting them in my fireplace before I built a fire for a few days. Good winter project! Then found a few good shims for my grill out of various woods for smoking hams and turkeys during the holidays and drilled one end and used epoxy to secure it. Sharpen them and figure out what shape you want. Heat the blades up and temper them by putting Rem Oil with Teflon on them. Originally, these were made for building model RC Airplanes when I was too tight to go out and buy the expensive carving knifes. Really enjoyed building them and now use them for shaping out the molds.
